3,500-word article surveying key profiles of 19th-century Chinese migrants from research for “China’s Hidden Century” at the British Museum (May-Sept. 2023). Commissioned by the exhibition curators for a special edition of Arts of Asia.



Catalogue Essay

600-word sample catalogue essay on a Qing-dynasty vase with the “Hundred Deer” motif in yangcai enamel, auctioned by Christie’s HK in 2018. Written as part of virtual exhibition examined for The Courtauld’s MA in History of Art programme. 


Historical Practice  

2,800-word timed examination essay on memory in History. Written and submitted for the Historical Argument and Practice (HAP) portion of the Historical Tripos, Part II during Easter Term 2020. Classed a First overall.
